The Compass of the Arts
and Artists
A synoptic guide to the history of the arts: each page covers about a century and puts history, artistic currents, art, music and literature on the same timeline, to instantly see which artists were active and what was happening in the world at all times.
One page per century
Cross timeline: history, currents, art, music, literature
Online: available from any device
In PDF: print it, consult it, keep it next to the books
Why it's useful
Resolves study fragmentation
It stops considering History, Art, Music and Literature as separate knots, uniting everything into a single overall vision.
Provides instant sync
It allows you to understand at a glance what was happening in the world, who painted, who composed and who wrote at the same precise historical moment.
Leverage visual memory
The 5-level horizontal timeline makes the unfolding of historical events, the duration of cultural currents and the overlapping lives of artists intuitive.
It is a permanent reference material
It is not read once and then archived, but becomes a continuous reference point to be kept open on the screen or printed on the desk.
How you can use it:
For study or your hobbies:
The optimal tool to prepare quick refreshes, to place art and history, and to support both the artistic studio and artistic hobbies.
for the course:
A ready-to-use conceptual map to explain the historical-cultural context in a clear and visual way, comparing the lives of the major artistic exponents.
For the use of the arts:
The guide that allows you to instantly understand where a given work of art produced by a given artist is located: century, period, currents, epoch, events.
CULTURAL TOURISM
The ideal companion to consult while visiting a historic city, a museum, an exhibition, while listening to a song or reading an opera.

An editorial
Handwritten
“Art, to me, is communication. And communication itself is an art. And to communicate means first of all to share.
So I thought of this monthly email as a notebook: a space where I collect what I studied, discovered and created during the month: articles, videos, ideas on art, reflections, advice and news about courses and events. I write every email with my own hand and always read all the answers that come to me.
I really hope that this appointment can become a beautiful moment for you to dedicate, on the last Sunday of each month.
